Autocaust


In March 1923, in an interview with The New York Times, the British mountaineer George Leigh Mallory was asked why he wanted to climb Mount Everest, and replied, 'Because it's there'. When Seven Ten Bishop created Autocaust (the magazines and the music) it was because It was not there. They could not find a publication that said what they felt needed to be said or music that satisfied the specific tenor or topics that Seven Ten Bishop wanted executed. Seven Ten Bishop was on a mission, through both words and music, to blindfold the body of dissatisfaction and kill it. Through late night drinking sprays and all day musical fury sessions, Seven Ten Bishop wrote, screamed, pummelled, burned and hammered away at that which needed to die.
